Magento Integration Guide
This guide shows you how to connect Magento 1 (including OpenMage) and Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce with Libers Suite. There is no plugin store. Libers Suite detects the version for you. After that you work like in any other shop: products, Knowledge Packs, publish.
Magento 1 and 2
One form. Libers Suite reads the version from your shop URL.
Admin login
Shop URL, admin username and password. No token setup.
Pull products
Not automatic on save. You start the sync when you are ready.
Step 1: Prepare Magento
Use an admin user who can see products. The password stays in Libers Suite and is not shared with anyone else.
Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce
Your normal admin login is enough. You do not need to create an integration under System. Libers Suite uses the same access you use to sign in to Magento admin.
Magento 1 / OpenMage
The admin user needs REST rights. Without them the connection fails.
- In Magento admin: System → Web Services.
- Under REST Roles, create a role and allow catalog/products.
- Under REST Attributes, allow product fields for Admin.
- Assign this admin user to the role.
Step 2: Connect the shop in Libers Suite
Open the dashboard under Shops and add the shop. Magento 1 and Magento 2 use the same form.
Step 3: Pull products
The shop card has two paths. Which one fits depends on the size of your catalog.
Sync
Pulls the catalog in one run. Fine for a small shop. With many products this takes too long or stops, because you have to wait on the page. Use categories instead.
Sync categories
You pick a category, then the products. This is the better path if you have several thousand items. You only pull what you want AI systems to see.
Step 4: Then it works like any other shop
Once the products are in Libers Suite, Magento is no special case. Creating, reviewing and publishing Knowledge Packs follows the main documentation.
Optionally you can also add the header script to the HTML head of your Magento theme. Product data still comes through the API. The script only adds extra markup on the pages.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this work with Magento 1 and Magento 2?
Yes. In Libers Suite you just pick Magento. Libers Suite detects the version from the shop URL. Magento 1 including OpenMage and Magento 2 including Adobe Commerce use the same form.
Are products synced automatically?
No. Saving only stores the connection. You start the import on the shop card with Sync or Sync categories.
What if I have several thousand products?
Do not pull the whole catalog. Use Sync categories and pick the products you want AI systems to see. Knowledge Packs are limited by your plan. A full sync runs while you wait and can stop on a large catalog.
Which credentials do I need?
Shop URL, admin username and admin password. Magento 2 needs your normal admin login. Magento 1 also needs REST rights for that user under System, Web Services.
